Stone Beauty

Michael Redhawk and Marlys Mallet

Michael and Marlys have over 60 years of combined experience creating artwork individually. Redhawk spent many years studying and developing his painting skills to create romantic landscapes. He also enjoys using mineral specimens to create show-stopping jewelry. Mallet, who was also schooled in realistic painting techniques, has chosen to pursue a career in abstract painting. Michael Redhawk’s passion for jewelry began at an early age. He began creating jewelry while living in Panama. Upon working as a jeweler in Virginia Beach, VA, he won many prestigious awards while refining his skill. Marlys K. Mallet is the rare abstract artist with an education in traditional art. She received her art education at the Burley School of Professional Art and the Cornish School of Allied Arts in Seattle, followed by John McCrady Art School in New Orleans, Louisiana. These two excellent artists will be showing off their talent all month long with their “Stone Beauty” Exhibition, displaying all of their works from the Stone Creations, to jewelry to mixed media paintings.
