Flourite: Fluorite is a beautiful mineral that occurs in a variety of colors from purple to green, including blue, white and transparent areas. The crystal varieties are very distinctive and make for some beautiful display specimens. The cut variety sometimes shows the crystal structures in an array of fascinating shapes and the depth of color displayed in many pieces rival the shades in other stones of the same hue. Amethyst is often mistaken for fluorite. This Calcium Fluoride mineral has been popular for many generations and often carved because it’s a rather soft mineral. We have selected this specimen for its clarity and depth of color and hope the owner will enjoy how it has been merged into an exciting work of art.
