Mixed Media-Stone Creation - Brazilian Agate
24 x 62 x 2 in
Diptych: 24"x 24", 24"x 36" Brazilian Agate: Brazil produces the majority of the agate mined in the world, bringing all types and colors to the market. Along with this volume of agate comes a wide variety of color and form, many of these specimens having quartz crystal features and pockets. This is the case in these specimens which display several different shaped crystal pockets. Different colored crystals can also be found in these sparkling features. Notice the fortification agate borders around several shapes. The craggy features add an element of natural shaping from the effects of the lava pockets which became the “mother” of the agate.
