Brazilian Agate & Amethyst: Brazil produces the majority of the agate mined in the world, bringing all types and colors to the market. Brazilian Agate often is found with a bordering of black creating some very fascinating specimens. Such is the case of this most remarkable specimen. We find a meandering border of Fortification Agate in colors of Rose-Red bordering a lovely Blue-Violet which is then bordered by White. The outer ragged edge is the shell of Basalt in which this was formed. Solid areas of crystal make up the interior which is broken by a large pocket of Amethyst. Interesting orbs of Agate can also be found in this amazing piece.
